Happy National Taco Day!  A recent poll found only 5% of us DON’T like them.  71% prefer them to burritos.

A few national chains have deals, including Del Taco and Taco John’s.  But Taco Bell is getting most of the attention for two big announcements they just made.

They brought back their popular “Taco Lover’s” subscription pass.  And they announced they’ll finally start selling ACTUAL breakfast tacos later this month.

Their current breakfast menu has breakfast burritos, quesadillas, and Crunchwraps, but no tacos.

They had Waffle Tacos for a minute in 2014, and a Naked Egg Taco in 2017 where the egg was the shell.  But they’ve always resisted actual breakfast tacos for some reason.

In contrast, their new ones are pretty basic:  Just eggs and cheese with bacon, sausage, or potatoes in a toasted tortilla.  So they’re opting for simplicity this time.  (Here’s a photo.)

They’ll cost $1.49 and hit Taco Bell’s menu October 12th.  But they still aren’t fully committed.  For now, they say they’ll just be around for a “limited time.”

Their “Taco Lover’s Pass” is something they started doing last year.  For $10, you get one taco a day for the next month.  But you have to sign up TODAY to get in on it.
