HIGHLIGHTS:  In a poll, 55% of people say they rely on Google more than their formal education, and on average, we Google five basic questions every day.

FULL STORY:  The education system isn’t perfect . . . it should be constantly evolving to focus on what we need the most:  Computer and coding proficiency, financial literacy, and knowing the difference between a stout and a porter.

In a new poll, the average American estimates that they only use 52% of the information they learned in school in their adult lives.

55% of people admit they rely on Google more than their formal education, and the average person Googles five basic questions every day.

(There are surely kids asking:  “Why do I have to learn this stuff, when there’s Google?”  And you can say, “Because you’ll need a job to make money, and A.I. already knows whatever you’re spending time Googling.”)

81% of people say they’d be willing to take an “adulting crash course” on things like:  Managing their money . . . doing their own taxes . . . and home-buying and mortgages.

(That’s GOOD news.  We should be constantly learning new things and expanding our knowledge.  Because let’s face it, if they taught you how to do your taxes in the 10th grade, that doesn’t mean we could do it today.)
